From May to the end of December, you can travel to Eerbeek from Beekbergen and even further to Apeldoorn or Dieren in the summer months. This historic steam train ride is an adventure for the whole family, where you experience the rich history of the Dutch railways in an authentic moving railway museum.
A ride full of history on the King's Line
The train journey takes place on the historic Koningslijn, which was built in 1887 at the initiative of King William III. The name 'Koningslijn' honours this royal influence. Originally, the route ran from Dieren via Apeldoorn to Zwolle. Although passenger transport stopped in 1947 and freight transport in 1984, enthusiastic volunteers revived the line and trains in 1975. Now you can enjoy a picturesque ride through the beautiful landscape of the Veluwe region, while learning more about its fascinating history.
