Over 200 different apple and pear varieties grow in this orchard for IESSEL Cider. The orchard is landscaped and managed in a nature-inclusive way. IESSEL Cider is a cidery in Terwolde, which processes fruit from many private standard orchards on both banks of the IJssel region.

Fruit is utilised and these unique orchards are preserved in the landscape. On the west side of the orchard, a woodland glade is under development for insects and birds. The varieties for cider in this orchard have been around for hundreds of years and are thus preserved alive as agricultural heritage. You won't find these apples in shops or markets. The fruit is processed into various dry (sour) ciders from 100% fresh-pressed, unpasteurised juice with no additives. Several IJsselmarke farmers sell it in their shops.
