When you eat meat, you prefer something of good quality, from the local area. In the green valley between the Hoge Veluwe and the lower IJssel, the Plante family's cattle graze.

At Vleesch van Plante, Richard and Mandy Plante make sure their meat breed cows have a good life. The cows graze on herb-rich grassland with feeding hedges, in wooded countryside, together with their calves. There is shelter everywhere to shelter from sun, wind or rain. By composing her own menu and choosing the best place to graze or rest, the cow stays healthy. Plante's cows stay on various (often smaller) pieces of land in and around Klarenbeek, owned, but also by Natuurmonumenten and Staatsbosbeheer. This contributes to nature conservation.

In the farm shop, meat from its own cows is for sale, or via the webshop for daily pick-up. A special feature is that everything from the animal is utilised, for optimal sustainable consumption. Besides beef, you can get pork and chicken, and a wide range of local products from fellow local producers.

Animals of typical beef breeds such as MRIJ (Maas Rijn IJssel cattle) are kept on the farm. Animal welfare is optimally guaranteed and processing is also done on a small scale in the region, at butcher Ter Weele. At the farm in Klarenbeek, Mandy Plante sells her own beef but also sustainably produced pork and chicken from colleagues in the area. From an enterprising girl next door, they sell eggs. Veluwe game from butcher Ter Weele is also on sale there. Saturday the shop is open and on other days by appointment. If you fancy a nice barbecue, pick up some steaks or lean mince for a juicy burger! Vleesch van Plante is Erkend Veluws Streekproduct where animal welfare and nature are paramount.
