Farm de Kruytbosch
On Manfred and Alien Holtslag's farm, they work with nature and then you can experience it on the farmyard and taste it in the farm shop!
They have had organic certification since 2001. The farm is on poor sandy soil; on the permanent pasture, cows, chickens and turkeys walk outside as much as possible to eat grass, clover and other herbs. This is good for soil and climate. The animals are healthier and it produces nice meat full of good nutrients. The cows keep their horns. Calves are born in spring. The grass is then energy-rich, allowing the cow to produce lots of milk for her calf and for us. Female calves stay with their mother in the meadow for four months. The farm shop sells organic beef, pasture-raised chicken and turkey, organic vegetables, organic potatoes, apple juice, pasture-raised cheese and eggs from our own farm. And local products such as sourdough bread, lamb, honey and Land van Ons products.
