Huize Den Bosch
Ms Denise Everwijn (†2011) determined that "her forest and farmlands" became silence area. "Convinced that moments of silence and contemplation are the most important in our lives, the most fruitful and the most creative, it is my wish to make Den Bosch, the estate of my ancestry (Everwijn family inhabited the estate from 1866), a 'Silence Foundation'. For years to come, an untouchable area of peace and quiet for the benefit of those who behave accordingly". And so it was done. A small part of the forest serves as a pilot forest of climate-resistant trees. To this end, it collaborates with Wageningen Environmental Research. Huize Den Bosch (1600) is no longer part of the estate. The manor house, the coachman's house and the gardener's house are privately occupied.
