Paper here in Eerbeek
In the Golden Age, paper production in the Netherlands came into full swing. Thanks to flowing and especially clear water, the whitest paper came from the Veluwe. Water mills, powered by this water, were the origin of paper production and processing. No region in the Netherlands can therefore be pointed to as rich in water mills as the Veluwe. Today, much of the industrial heritage can still be seen and - more importantly - experienced. For example, take a look at the Korenmolen Eerbeek where you can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner, or at paper mill de Middelste Molen where paper has been produced since 1622!
