Hops for Beer
Do you like a beer or brew your own? Then it will be fun to find out more about this tastebud!
Pieter and Jeanine have been growing different varieties of hops at their farm since 2016. The harvest is sold to local brewers. On an impressive polework, the plants climb up. In September
the product is harvested and dried. Brewers and beer lovers have the unique opportunity to come and experience the product. The hop field is surrounded with extensive grassland and on the south-west side with a food forest strip to keep the hops somewhat out of the wind. This adds variety to the landscape and attracts different species of insects and plants.
In season, it is possible to visit the farm. Pieter and Jeanine will be happy to tell you more about this interesting crop and their collaboration with the brewers!
