The Meander

They grow a diverse assortment to provide the widest possible range over as long a period as possible. Leafy crops herald spring and are followed by a wide range a different vegetables, herbs and potatoes. These goodies come straight from the land into their vegetable packages and are offered for sale loose in the farm shop. What is not sold this way goes to organic shops and market vendors in the area. Thus, everything is sold locally, without the intervention of wholesalers. There is also a flower-picking garden where you can pick your own beautiful bouquet in season during opening hours.

De Meander is a certified organic farm. The team is inspired by biodynamic agriculture. It gives this its own interpretation. They work with attention, using seedfast varieties wherever possible. There is also a lot of attention to nature on the farm. With wide, varied hedges, pools, flower strips and large trees on the farmyard, they want to provide a place for as many animals as possible and take good care of nature. Biodiversity is high here and the team enjoys spotting all kinds of animals: many songbirds, a buzzard, falcons, a breeding oystercatcher couple, hares, moles, deer, dwarf mice and, of course, many different kinds of insects.
