Empese and Tondense Heide
On the border of the municipalities of Brummen and Voorst you will find a special nature reserve: De Empese en Tondense Heide. A nature reserve that - contrary to what the name suggests - consists of particularly flowery grassland. The area is less accessible during the breeding season.
Using the red-marked walking route (approx. 5 km), discover this special nature reserve which - contrary to what the name suggests - consists of particularly flowery grassland, where rare plants such as Spanish bridle and spotted orchid grow. Even outside the plank path, the route is very wet, so boots are essential here, especially in winter!
